Ms. Bharti Ochani


An Electrical Engineer by profession & a firm believer in women empowerment, she is the first one in her family of all doctors to opt engineering as a profession.

She has around 5 years of diverse experience in process re-engineering, automation of business processes, product training and analysis while having worked in the FMCG, Power/Utility sector. Currently working in K-Electric, the only vertically-integrated power utility in Pakistan providing electricity to Karachi, the biggest city of the country. She has recently acquired an IRCA (International Register of Certificated Auditors) Approved ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor Certificate.

Considering herself as a change agent in her field of engineering, she is a recipient of the “Catalyst & Creative Engineer “Award. Nowadays, she is affiliated with Pittsburgh University where she blends her technical research process with human mind studies to identify parameters which constitute resistance to change, specifically in scientific advancements.

She is also a brand ambassador of an initiative taken by Nestle Pakistan called Kero Aitemaad – "Believe in Yourself where she delivers sessions on women empowerment. Her stories based on breaking stereotypes related to “Girls Can’t do” attitude and how girls can create ground breaking and shared value initiatives for the society and community.

She is also actively involved with large social forums such as, IET (Institute of Engineering technology), Future Ideas, and Youth Parliament Karachi Chapter. Moreover, she is an active member of “Youth Excellence Award Board” a unique program of Youth Affairs Department, Government of Sindh.
